Volunteer Program

At MacGillivray Guest Home a volunteer is a person who is willing to make a contribution toward supplementing and adding new dimensions to our Home's services and programs, symbolizing community caring and support.

Volunteers play a vital role improving the quality of life for our residents. Staff implement resident care services while our volunteers assist in providing comfort and support to the residents.​ Volunteers are not a replacement for paid staff, but are a valuable asset in enhancing the quality of life of our residents.

Examples of Volunteer opportunities:

Bring pets
Spend one-on-one conversation time with residents
Assist in activities such as baking, games, exercises
Read books
Individual / group presentation – music, dance
